PRO TIP: Make sure your clay is more than leather hard. It must be drier than for trimming, almost bone dry. There is a thin boundary line when it comes to the perfect clay humidity. Test your clay at different levels of dryness to find the best conditions for your carvings before you start working on your masterpiece.
