The tools made from tungsten carbide last for a very long time due to its hardness. Those tools are very sharp and remain sharp for a long time.
Obviously you can sharpen it with a diamond file from time to time. We recommend using graduation 600. But for sure it will not be necessary for months or in some cases years.
Remember to be careful with those blades. They are really hard but can also break when you drop them. Make sure you keep them in a safe place, in conditions that will not let them fall down.
The tool is sharp, which may cause chattering during use. This effect occurs when the sharp edge cuts deeply into the clay, creating vibrations. To minimize this, use both hands to stabilize the tool. For best results, trim in such a way that the trimmings are no thicker than 2 mm and of even thickness.
While trimming – keep your hand firmly and make sure your clay is properly leather dry. Once you start using them you will find the best conditions for you to trim 🙂
